When that little dark cloud is following you – I have that special chocolate treat for you. It will wipe it away – somehow. Try it.
Ingredients:
Brownies:
200 gr. dark chocolate
130 gr. butter
140 gr. flour
210 gr. sugar
3 eggs
1 tbsp vanilla paste
1/2 tsp baking powder (4 gr.)
1 pinch of salt
Some extra treat:
50 gr. dark chocolate (chopped)
Topping:
200 gr. milk chocolate
100 gr. cream
You also need:
Baking frame (20 cm x 23 cm)
Oven at 360°F/180°C (upper/lower heat) pre-heated
Direction:
In a small pan on low heat melt the butter and the dark chocolate. Put aside and let cool down a bit.
In a bowl mix the flour, baking powder and the pinch of salt. Put aside and prepare to sift.
With the electric mixer put the eggs together with the sugar and the vanilla. Mix until foamy. On highest level at least for 5 minutes.
Add slowly the melted chocolate and go on mixing on lowest level until the chocolate is incorporated.
Sift the flour mixture and incorporate with a spatula.
For some extra treat add the chopped chocolate now.
Fill the sponge into your baking tin and bake for 20 – 25 minutes at 360°C/180°C (upper/lower heat).
Toothpic test – after 20 minutes. I love the brownies fudgy – so when there is some sponge on the toothpic it is all right for me.
Take out of the oven and put aside to cool down completely.
The topping:
On low heat melt the copped chocolate with the cream.
Cover the cooled brownies with the melted chocolate. Let it cool down completely in the fridge for at least two hours. Best over night. Then cut into pieces.
I hope you like that recipe and treat yourself someday with these fudgy chocolate brownies.
Chocolate power greetings
